ONE less blind driver on Aucklands roads-for now.

Well guys n gals Ol Frosty just took one for "the team".
Out and about in the old van picking up an assortment of lil bikes n quads I was driving down a 2 way road -2 lanes each way. .
In the right lane everything good with the world untill the lady in the left lane decided she wanted to be where I was.
Hmm -er lady gidday--Im in a 5 meter long 2.0m tall van-- surely ya see me here"
Aparently not and she parks her rear passenger door into my left front bullbar.
-HOKAY -I can't brake hard -theres a concrete truck behind me -I cant turn right theres oncoming traffic so just carry on. denting her back door then pillar then drivers door.
THEN she thinks --"hmm maybee thats not a good idea."
Damage to the van--paint removed from bullbar--bugger
Damage to car -er 2 doors and a pillar smacked in.
If I was on a bike I hate to imagine the damage it woulda done.

Paint lost from the bullbar? There's just no justice, is there?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Bout to jump into the cage last tuesday, phoenix just pulled up outside my work to pick me up. Hes stoped on the side of the road behind a honda civic and a Toyota Rav. A bus pulls out of a bus stop about 20m back, straight into a van travelling in the lane, panics and pulls to the left, hitting our car pushing it up onto the footpath, and pushing the civic in front of us straight into the Rav. She tried to claim she braked.... but I was standing there and she so didnt

Oh well another 3 weeks without a car

There is no justice in this world!
The greatest pleasure of my recent life has been speed on the road. . . . I lose detail at even moderate speed but gain comprehension. . . . I could write for hours on the lustfulness of moving swiftly.

    Before you paint it?

No no friend. This is clearly an insurance job. Van'll need a complete repaint ,at least. And odds are that your evasive action (which probably saved the crash from being a fatality) caused tyre damage. You'll need a new set . And the extra load of crumpling the blind woman's car, has undoubtedly caused excessive engine wear. I reckon a new engine is one the list. All in all it'll be lucky not to be a writeoff (depends on if you can buy the wreck back for a few quid)

take the insurance money and buy a kwaka. I realise the balance will be off in the van with more paint weight on one side but youll get used to it. Good oppourunity for an upgrade. You did have one of those solid gold bull bars on the van huh?
