    Imitation WW2 German army helmets

Just had a gentleman ride past wearing one of those imitation Nazi helmets with the obligatory scarf and sunglasses. Am I the only one who thinks you'd have to be a plonker to wear one? I mean, the Nazis lost the war and were behind one of the darkest moments in history and I doubt those things would give a lot of protection in an off, and isn't that the purpose of a helmet?
Don't blame me, I voted Green.

    Indeed, must be a record.

And yes, he is a plonker. For lots of reasons.

A mate of mine use to have a chrome one that he wore occasionally while riding. Usually accompanied with a denim jacket, but then he was only doing time trials around his couch on a mobility scooter

Complete nutter, but fuck it was funny to watch!

Lighten up a bit! Just because someone wears one, it doesn't mean they're a neo nazi. They look pretty good IMO, and obviously it pays to put something on your face to stop getting caked in bugs, and sunnies to keep your eyes from watering

It's all fun and games till your chin hits the ground.

Would you buy and wear a leather jacket that was sleeveless?

Oh well, personal choice and all that

It would look quite smart with a ful Waffen SS uniform and regalia. But the knee and elbow armour would ruin the look.

originaly after WW2 American soldiers came back with trophies of the Germans they killed.....hence the swastikas and German helmets etc...
They chopped down military surplus bikes and voila some of the original biker gangs got formed......
They were not nazi's...they were ex nazi killers......

Copy cat losers now lost relevance of course.....
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....
