Celtic no6 has no more bike.

I just had the sad news that celtics bike was destroyed by fire in his garage this afternoon. A series of bits of bad luck has caused the entire garage to be gutted and the fzr is no more.
He would have posted this himself but has had problems with KB

Sincere condolences. That could presumably happen to anybody.
    Hope he was insured.

    Hey all. Yup. Its gone.

This afternoon I decided to do some work on the bike pre-warrant time.

I had partially stripped in so I could do some work. I had the gargre lights on and I had disconnected the fuel hoses from the bike as I wanted to replace them with new ones. I had a few problems with my reserve/main switch so I had dismantled it to take it around to pete376403's place for a couple of ideas on how to fix it.

While I was there he commented on the noise from fire engines and we laughed about how fires could happen on a rainy day.

Well I got home and there's fire engines, and Gini, Tim and Nick are outside the house.

The garage is destroyed. Everything inside is burned up.

Six bicycles, a fridge, heaps of our stuff that just wouldn't fit in the house, all my tools, and, of course, one 1980s Yamaha Superbike.

    Damn. Bikeless for a while...

But we are all alive and okay.

We can replace it all. We're insured up to the eyeballs. Never more will I complain about how much it costs.

So, when the money comes through, I'll be looking for another bike. I'd like 600cc+, 17 inch wheels at both ends, and ability to commute and do the takas with ease. I'll only have $4000 to spend so it will be an interesting search.

    Cheers for your thoughts.

Oh, btw I managed to save the full-hp CDI from the bike so any of you who have Japanese-spec 2LM FZR750R's and want an extra 25+ HP send me a pm ...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
