    Bluetooth and ear plugs

If you want to have bluetooth comms with either pillion or GPS or whatever, how do you get around wearing earplugs as well?

Yes Nasty is right, you need to get a helmet with a com bay. I have a Nolan N-102, which has a kit that goes with it.

I have tried small bluetooth ear plugs in my ears however they can get very uncomfortable.

Thanks for your replies...food for thought there...

    1. I have already bought two helmets in the last fifteen months - don't really want to buy yet another one...

    2. The Plugs are Plugz 4 Lugz and really do damp the sound...but I think they might be OK...

    3. Maybe I should pay my bills before I spend any more on bike toys...

get some cheap headphones that you can tape to the inside of your helmet where your ears are. Get ones that are flat and just snap off the headband.

Turned up loud I have no problem hearing through my plugs.

I don't use bluetooth as the core of my comms system, I use baehr, and Plugz 4 Lugz, and the speakers in helmet are installed in the ear cut outs in the helmet.

Sound is turned up... fark, if I ride without ear plugs, the first prompt just about makes me jump off the bike, its that loud.

You can buy custom earplugs with sound built in.

Plugz4Lugz plugs should be fine with a speaker in the helmet. They don't block out too much of the voice frequencies.

I think Botany Honda was doing them, not sure if they still are?

    Perhaps give them a call/email? http://botanyhonda.co.nz/
