A 'near miss' that was certainly not her doing and it wasn't the first. The first time I saw someone pull a stunt like on her that I gave the twat a smack in the head.

I will agree that on many occasions you can see what's coming and avoid it simply by being alert and treating all other users as a danger your health and wellbeing.

I had a small truck pull out on me the other day, I braked, so he decided he'd carry on. No apologetic wave, no nothing. Not even an indicator!
    Well I haven't had one

maybe its my positioning , 50cal in the side car ,,but I haven't had a near miss in a long time ( hand on heart,, I honestly cant remember when it was too long ago !)

I like these self propelled truck , they can launch out of drive ways and be in the centre of the road before a bike can take a counter measure ..

Id be asking myself why some can avoid these incidences yet others seem to have them everyday

You sure do have to be alert.

I don't have them everyday but I see them coming often enough so manage to avoid them and you're right about positioning. If you can't see people's eyes, they probably can't see you. I often see riders cruising along behind cars in their LH (not RH) wheel track; you're invisible there, and that's just a starting point.

Perhaps as you raised the near miss aspect you would care to define "near miss".

Pity that a poll was attached though, polls on here count for nothing and it wasn't needed.

Yes, very. We can only hope we see a corresponding drop in accident stats.

Possibly, but to me, the poll is judging the Man not the message.

Both I'd say, he gets and A for effort, but a D at best for tact, if he could improve on his delivery style it would probably completely reverse the poll outcome.

But if you're using the whole alphabet a D's still pretty good, isn't it?

"The Headmaster feels that little Stevie might be best placed in the Special Ed Unit. He has been struggling all year with the concept of an alphabetic marking system, and as such, has fallen well behind in his other classwork. The Headmaster also thinks that a year or so in the Unit will be invaluable for Stevie's social development."
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

That is possible, the poll votes so far outway the posts in the thread (110 at time of this post) not everyone will back their vote with a comment.
