Mate, that's bad news. Sorry to hear about it. Damned shame you weren't such a nice guy, you could have grabbed the dumb broad, if you were in any fit shape that is.

That's a bummer. There seems to be a number of laws she has broken and thats after the accident. Hit and run comes to mind. Just hope Mr Plod gets his act together but what I saw on the news tonight about our understaffed police, gives me cause for concern. Think Helen needs to comes to grips with this.
Hope they catch the bitch.

Bent bike not the good look.
Do you have a spare bike till you fix yours or does that put you off the road?
Sorry to hear dude, I hope you get the insurance sussed ASAP.
Please keep us informed what the insurance company does and do you mind letting us know who your insurance is with? I'm with protecta, I'd certainly be interested if they wouldn't come to the party?
Good to hear you're reasonably right! Ride Safe!
Damn. Another bike/biker has a rough day.
Sorry to hear about the bike HR.
Hope everything works out for you.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Experience......something you get just after you needed it
Argument to suggest you were following too close if you t-boned her.....either that or you weren't paying attention.
Why do we always post 'it had to happen' and then whinge about it happening when we supposedly knew it was going to happen at some stage so could have psyched ourselves up so when it did happen we were prepared once what happened happened?
Needless to say - it still sucks
Ah shithouse luck mate, at least you're around to talk about it. Sounds like she wouldn't have called an ambulance. Post the bits you need, so we can all have a scrounge.
Real sorry to hear this HR :disapint: , sounds like it was your first accident for quite some time?Originally Posted by Holy Roller
I pray that she is identified and that you get some compensation from her for the damages! I also hope you're feeling better real soon brother.

But the fact of the matter is she was drunk in a death trap and probally wildly turned in front of him leaving him no time to react.
And the police have to believe his story as they dont have the other side of it
last one did a uturn on me did not get to walk away
she had the best part of an H1D go through her door
(she had 18 stiches in her plus a fractured skull)
F**ked the bike though, but i saw what was going and did a super
man job over the top
(went between two on coming cars,
had to clean the leathers after that one)
Funny though i only had some damage on my knees
where i hit the top the car, sort of going through!
(always rember she was looking straight at me when she turned)

Thanx guys for the support the encouragement has been great.Originally Posted by sAsLEX
Not hurt much just a bit of a sore shoulder and one knee I think work has been good of it, keeping me moving. Worst thing is that the bike is bent and that was my transport to work. My boy was concerned that it wouldn't be fixed in time for the Cold Kiwi - I assured him it would.
Update:
The cops found our driver who did the runner, being done for drunk driving. Apparently the car was legit even though it had no plates or stickers. Would be interesting to see what other charges will be brought against her.
Yes sAsLEX she had pulled over to the left and appeared to have stopped then did the u turn right in front of me as I was nearly to pass her, I didn't even have time to apply the brakes, lucky I was in a 50kph area. There were a couple of witnesses who saw it happen and a guy who had just come home got out his camera. Now I have her name and contact details the insurance will pay out and i will not have to pay any excess. Will have to wait for the assessor to have a look at the bike.
I think she may have been injured as she was limping as she exited from the scene, could have been a lot worse for all parties.
Yep Zed its been 5 years since my last bin and that one was on some diesel spilt on a tight corner in the Rotoma's, the rear end came round to meet the front and I hit the road breaking off the righthand handle bar. Brought the cruiser cause its a lot slower than the sports bikes and has been more forgiving. May be a chance to upgrade, hopefully, if I can show the Mrs the advantages. Looking forward to getting back on the bike again.
Work mates said so you won't be riding then but I said "if you had a prang in your car you still would drive wouldn't you, whats the difference".
Once again thanks for all the encouragement
