Sweet... Hope you brought a lotto ticket after that one! I guess you wouldn't have been able to afford one after that.

Worst part was getting hit from behind every time we saw a white car or speed limit sign after that. Threatened to leave her on side of road after a while. Also does not help when she keeps telling me that she has never had a ticket!

Man, Just wait for this sucked southerly to swing to a galeforce northerly and then peddle as hard as you can down Ngauranga Gorge, I'm sure you'll get between 80 & 90kph. Thats gotta be abit more reasonable than 30kph. My grandmother does 40kph on her BMX and thats up the gorge!

Hehe, I've been 220k/hr on a tl1000s, but it wasn't even mine. My mate had a 50cc scooter, was only supposed to go 50k/hr, but once you got it past 50 on a downhill it would get a second wind, hit a powerband of sorts and he managed to get it to 90 downhill lol speedo probably wasn't too accurate though.

Given that we're talking strictly about race tracks and not about public roads, then I would have to say an indicated 260 coming out of the "lights" and braking way early before the "approaching intersection/cars" on the front straight of SH2 on the last dry trackday

    Once upon a time...

in a land far, far away...
There was a boy, who owned a bike, this bike was "The One" for him. It's year was 2004. This fictional character once saw 292 on the speedo and knew that if he lost some fictional kilograms, oneday he would see 300+ (okay okay, 299, fecking speedo limit ). The day he saw this, was all legal btw

'scuse me, doesn't the thread say closed road/track, not open road? stop yer bitchin peeps, this is the legal stuff.

And I'm happy to post in this, over that other one which was the opposite of this. Go bitch about going to fast in the 'other' thread.

personally, I'm absolutly stoked to find the redline in 6th on the back of Puke last weekend.. 285kph (see the puke thread about it tho..)..
So now I have to look at gearing, cos it'll go faster, just need to mechanically adjust it, cos the limter won't allow the red, which I'm happy to let it stop me at. One thing tho, I can set the rev/shift light to be on at 16,500 (I think), when it reds at 16, and the limiter cuts in..

I'm gathering all the replies will relate to tracks and not open roads.
    Hi Dafe,

I've reached speedo indicated tops speeds of between 250-260kmph on my 600cc bikes last year at the Pukekohe race track.

When/if I take my new bike on the track this year I'll post here what top speeds I reach...should set a personal land speed record quite easily!
