    A word of advice...

For those of you who had never considered this possibility. (I Know I hadn't)

Earlier this week on my commute into Wellington I was gently "splitting" past traffic that wasn't flowing particulary well when I found out why. In the dark ahead I spotted an object on the road between the two lines of traffic and fortunately I had the room on my right to ride around it rather than over it. I was a bloody wheel, complete with hub!.

Something of a wake-up call, I thought I ought to share.

Hehe, I have done one worse than that. I pulled out and split a line of traffic at night, and came face to face a line of cones on the (now gravel) centerline. :slap:

With little or no braking or steering ability remaining (gravel!) I was stuck with moving gently into the opposing lane (empty at the time) and contemplated getting back onto my side of the road.. Oh, and the approaching line of traffic..

Somehow I missed the roadworks signs.. Not smart.

Yep wheels can be fatal as happened to world champ Surtees son at a car race meeting http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-sto...5875-21533966/ recently.

    One wheel?

Yikes, I keep seeing four at once and they tend to be moving... there a right b*stard too as they just drift from lane to lane ready to take you out.
