Yip certainly was a great day out with quite a breeze blowing over them hills!! I think more people were blown off rather than fell off. Thanks to Kenny we all know what the underside of a an africa twin looks like Anyone who rides a big heavy twin in that wind doesn't really deserve flak. Thanks for the entertainment.

    Cheers Tony.

Ha, a bit of a sick car. Might need to report that to the cops, they might be looking for it.
J is off overseas again as of Friday so I will be free to go anywhere for a month.... providing I haven't spend all my $$ for gas etc.

south side of the waimak is not looking too good if anyone is planning to go there - have to get back on the road to get past a slip

and it might pay to checkout the depth of the water thats covering the bit where the river has broken over the road on the north side - found this clip on youtube

    LOL, lost 4x4.
That video looks like the Eyre River ford you cross as you go up along the Waimak.
We crossed it ok on the 15th. Had water in it then but it's usually a dry riverbed.
There's a video of some of our ride with a bit of the Eyre river ford on Peeteeys youtube channel from the 15th although I see he's got the date wrong on the video titles.

    Interesting about the washout.

A small bunch of us went for a play (training session) couple of weekends back. Eyre was up then too.

Edit - Doh Carl bet me too it.

Had a run through the north side yesterday, played in a few of the 4wd mudholes, but didn't get too adventurous due to being all alone and not wanting to get stuck.Found some decent enduro tracks up past the water race/downs road and chased down 3 2 stroke mx bikes, which seemed to give them a fright.

On the way back I had a look at the crossing above, seems other bikes had been going around the fence, where the people on the left on the video are standing, and going through the paddock and crossing a bit further up in shallower water.

Like to see how Lees Valley is and the river flow is reported about 2cu mec so should be fine at the moment but it is always nice to have backup so anyone interested or should I save it and get back to my videos?
