I mean who in their right minds would go and rewrite their software so that it even needs a compatibility button.

It's all just tight winding shingle roads on the Banks Pensulia hills.
I'm skipping the challenge sections (#1 up Robsons Bay stock track and #2 down Takamatua Stock Track then along Old Coach Rd) but others can do them if they want and we can regroup at sheet numbers #68 and #99 respectively. We can wait for the energetic ones at those points.

It's also pretty easy to bail back on to sealed roads from most the route if you get tired and want to call it a day.

got my bike all filled up and ready to go - finish work at 2am so the alarm better wake me

not too sure how my mitas c02 rear tyre will go on the tight winding bits (well that will be my excuse for going slow....)

Great ride out today round Banks stock roads etc. A couple of off's but nobody broke anything, good pace and some challenging tight corners, and ice in the shadows?

Anyone got any pics?

Ok, some pics. I was a bit slow to get the camera out as so many others took photos earlier on.

1,2,3 - From Bossu Rd, Lands End intersection

4 - The Ice that stopped ThePom.

5 - View back toward Akaroa while the others were on the Challenge Section. We could see them but the camera wasn't powerful enough to show them.

6 - Lunch at Akaroa

1 - This pic was uploaded out of order. It's the top of the Challenge section (they only did 1 Challenge while The Pom and I took the bypass.)

2,3 - Approaching Okains Bay.

4 - Another bay somewhere.

5- View near the top of Western Valley Rd back toward Port Levy.

Ah well, maybe next time.

I note a fair supply of Suzi Dr 650's with big tanks in the pics. Where did you guys get the tanks?
