What's good top spray engine area with to keep clean?

Just got my new Ninja 250r and thought I would put it through a thorough clean to get it just how I want it. So, I have taken the faring off to clean around the engine and all those hard to reach bits. I was told to spray it all with ACF50 spray to make it look shiny and to protect the area for dirt and corrosion etc but i cant find where to buy it. Is there an alternative I can use to spray over the area to protect it - would CRC or some sort of silican spray do ?

I regularly empty a bottle of crc on my bike into every crevise i can, then wipe any access off (bit of brake clean is handy to clean the discs before ya roll it back or forward)
Does tend to attract dust but it also washes away again very easy !

Go to supercheap and buy a 5L bottle of degreaser. Take the fairings off and wash it with a cloth/tower rather than a brush or sponge. Get it fairly wet with a good strong mix of degreaser/water, leave it to soak for a few mins then wipe it off and hose it down. You can also buy degreaser in a can, however I would assume you won't get the same value for money though I guess it will make life easier.

Degreeser in a can is like $3.50 on sale usually from super cheap and is great stuff for the price mate

Silkolene do a dedicated Motorcycle Protectant product. It's excellent. I've used it when shipping bikes from the UK. Not sure where you get it in NZ.

I would be careful with some degreeser's as they can stain the paint work, very harsh products.

Silicone 808 is the stuff you need,Warehouse,Repco etc.

Im sure it is, my brother uses it and swears by it but bit too expensive for my liking.

That silicone stuff should be just the job. The Silkolene product I mentioned is great for shitty, salty British winter roads and long-distance shipping but can be a bugger to wash off.

S100 Engine brightener - available from most bike shops. Works well on bringing up dull engine casings and also makes a good invisible coating on polished alloy that can be wiped clean.
