No offence Kwaka guys, but the GSXX-R750 would annialate the 636... The 750 is compared to 1000's where the 636 is considered a more "peppy" 600...

Personally i would go for the 750 (not because im a gixxer nut) due to the fact the gixxer has more torque (great for the road) and has the exact same dimensions of the GSX-R600 (handles brilliantly)
See Robert Taylor for any Ohlins requirements www.northwest.co.nz
    Thanks Colemans Suzuki
    Thanks AMCC
I use DID Chains and Akrapovic Exhausts

    well guess what I have....?

and TS, I know what you mean, but then if you're going higher than a 6, then get a thou...?? I only wanted a 6, cos that's more than enough to get into trouble with, let alone more. The 636 will happly toy with older 750s without too much problem, but the Gixer is still being made, which means it's still fairly up to date, so it's got the edge on a lot of bikes.. I guess the end of the day, it's each to their own.. What about the Gixer 6?

I think I'll have to agree.... coming from a twin, I do like to ride the torque. And there is not much torque to ride on the 600's or the 636.

    03 636 Vs 03 750

    750 makes 40 ft.lb of torque at 4'000. 50 ft.lb at 8'000 and peaking at 55 ft.lb at 10'500rpm.

    636 makes 25 ft.lb at 4'000. 42 ft.lb at 8'000 and peaking at 45 ft.lb at 11'000rpm

    As for power 750 makes 120 at 12'000 and 636 makes 103 at 12'000.

Above dyno figures are from http://www.m4exhaust.com/products/flash/M4_Exhaust.html

BUT THE 636 IS SO SUCH A PIECE OF ART COMPAIRED WITH THE 750!

really wish I can fit the 750 motor into the ZX-6R!

    YES

And thats what it's all about.... Why have a bike that performs at a level alot of us will never reach, but have it looking like a slightly polished turd?
If I were making the choice, it would the the ZX6R all the way. (out of those two).

going by that theory i might as well stick with my 6fiddy twin :P

just thinking if going up steep hills with some luggage the 6xx's fours will feel even less welcoming..... lease with the twin you can torque it up the hill....

i dono think I am all confused at the moment.... (throws down the towel)

    ermm KTM super duke....

reason I am looking for a new bike is that the SV's suspension is "c0rap", but I don't want to trade down on torque...

hay SC ever thought of doing a night ride with a night vision goggle? :P just a thought
