I was wondering about that. I thought it was Rambo style to prevent sweat dripping into your eyes.

Na I learnt that at the wires ride. If you wear them there they seal against the helmet and stay clear and clean. You can get the strap off your forehead and onto the top lip off the helmet opening if it annoys you on your forehead. Was wearing mine like that on the second lap as wanted the extra airflow over my face when riding and the field had spread put enough for roosts not to be a problem.

Classic of the day. Van stopped for a chat mid race where Ethan Martens fell off.(he is OK by the way. Bruised spleen) He talked for a minute or so saying how crap his bike was going. He just about stopped for a cuppa and a muffin. I had to tell him there was a race on LOL.
