More power to 'em! No H-D changes of note for 2010 but then, they move slower than continental drift.
Pretty sure you'll find both Nesses are one of the reasons for Victory becoming the success it has. They pulled them out of the 'pieced-together-Harley-Clone' rut they were sinking into, and developed a bit of style of their own.
I'm just glad that they did not name one the 'cross-dresser'.![]()
Saw a nice Victory bike / review in this month's Motorcycle Sport & Leisure (good mag actually - all bikes and no bullshit).
To really take a hold, they're going to need their dealers to give equivalent trade in prices on Harleys as the local HD dealer will. If you want to get out of a brand it can sometimes be expensive because, say, the local Ducati dealer just seems to ring the local HD dealer to find out how much he can offload your trade-in for. That's why you'll get a shit price when shifting brands (and maybe part of the real reason for customer loyalty).
I hear HD have had to pay "Storz" bikes a fee to use the XR1200 name in USA.
Was not an issue in Europe, but with the success of the XR buyers in USA want it.
Checkout the Storz version of the XR, WOW!

All of their designs are Arlen Ness Influenced. He's their Willy G.
