    Question Stickered bikes?

What do you peoples think of other people riding up the road on a bike stickered up like a race bike, (with brand stickers all over) such as vodafone etc ??

If you own it, do what you like with it.

By "stickers" presumably you're talking about non-bike related stickers?

And buy/use a spell checker. Misspelled posts are way more irritating than stickers on bikes.

Where is the "whats it to ya" option ?
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

The ONLY "cool" faired sports 250 I have ever seen to date was a CBR250RR with a full set of Lucky Strike replica fairings, down by Botany Downs. That was hella sweet.

I have an RGV Lucky Strike, and if I get my way, I'll add a Rothmans NSR and a Marlboro TZR to the pack one day. So obviously I think it's great

Custom jobs can be a bit hit and miss; there are a lot of badly done replicas, and replicas of replicas.

As with everything, a job well done looks great, an average one looks average.

Number boards are ok, but I draw the line at adding a number on a road bike, that's just feels like you're asking for trouble (from the police).

If it's a race replica type bike, then it's kinda kewl, sort of paying homage to your favourite bike and/or rider. Otherwise, it's kinda naff.
I've deliberately destickered my bike, apart from the "Honda" and VFR" decals. The Honda one is under lacquer anyway. I've heaps in my cupboard for components I've bought, so now that the only evidence of my recent fork overhaul is the decals that somehow mysteriously affixed themselves to the bottom of the sliders, I'm wondering if I should add further embellishments to further draw people's eyes away from the scratched paintwork....

    Prapsnot.
It is a VFR after all.

My last bike was different - no race replica, but the previous owner had added GoFastBits in the form of decals advertising things that weren't present, like a jet kit. So, I added some for things that were there, like a Unifilter, APE CCTs, etc. Distracted onlookers eyes away from those urglee FahrtSturm lines...
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

That pretty much sums it up for me too, I have seen a lot of bikes with race numbers on though. I take it it's legal in NZ?. Not allowed in the UK, apparently if you stick a number on your bike you will think you're Rossi and won't be able to control your urges.
    Oh bugger

each to there own... if vodoafone paid me money I would seriously concider it myself... as long as if it was temporary and the year was up they came off with no hassles and or issues

It can work on some bikes.

I wouldn't do it myself, but don't care if anyone else does it.

Not that they'd care what I or anyone else thinks.

I personally wouldn't, but if it means something to the rider/owner then why not. If it's just for wannabe looks then I think it's uncool.

If you have a pile of after-market bits in your bike its cool to sticker the bike up If you have a stock bike with all the gear stickers ... thats a bit floral. I'd sticker the 10 up if i had the bits but only cause i like the look, i don't really care about what other people think about my bike..

And of course the race replica's are cool all stickered up
