A (sprotbike) motorcyclist stops to help, Subaru driver blames Harley riders for accident.

Sprotbike rider with an attitude ceases the chance to rubbish Harley riders and posts on KB.

KB factions tear themselves apart on the basis of the word of an errant Subaru driver and a srotbike rider with an itch about Harley riders!

Subaru driver is now as convinced as Clayton Weatherston that it was not "his" fault.

KB is now as divided as the whole of the Arab nations and the rest of the world hates motorcycles even more than ever!

Post the evidence or forget about it.

Meanwhile, what has happened to Katman, he should be here by now!

Or maybe there would have been a bunch of dead HD riders and we'd all be talking about cagers killing motorcyclist and blaming him for the accident

I don't have enough fingers on both hands to count the number of times in a decade or two of driving that I have had to take evasive action to avoid having a fuckwit on a motorcycle pulling a dumb passing move ending up as a hood ornament

but yeah lets always blame the car driver we all know motorcyclist can do no wrong

All I can say is a big to R1 & those out off our group that stopped to help the poor driver, hopefully the driver will not hate all motorcyclists because off this.

If there is an accident surely you should do everything you can to help even (especially?) if it was caused by you? Or in this age of road rage and weapons is it simply safer to keep going? I guess it comes down to personal choices. For me though the answer is simple... always try to help, life has a strange way of catching up with you if you dont. Some people call it karma, others fate, some luck, others life but in the end it pays you back pure and simple...
yep i agree with you there on stopping, but i had a really bad off in 2004 (sunstrike) the bike landed in my chest bust all my ribs, and cut my spleen in two damaged my liver and bladder, and this was in rush hour traffic my feet was still on the road, and my bike was spinning round in circles (Triumph tr6r) there were plenty of rubber neckers but not one stopped, i was out cold for ?? i do not know how long, i had to get up and stop my bike, pick it up, a few really painfull attemps at starting it as it flooded, got it going and managed to ride approx 25 to 30 k`s to get back home for help, i was all over the road doing about 20k`s even passed a copper sat in his car with a radar zapping traffic, and he never stopped me to find out what was wrong, then to top it all off i got to hospital and the bastards left me in a corridor in A&E for six hours ??, and when they opened me up i had two thirds of my blood in my chest cavity.i still ride ( now a hd ) as the bike is my only transport, but i am left with severe problems, mentaly and physicaly i am on morphine for pain plus other meds, it takes me a couple of hours to get my head clear when i get up, so i now miss all the club rides out of Christchuch. and yes i do stop when i see some one sat at the side of the road, and i dont just mean bikes i have helped out cages as well, picked up gas a few times for them.

and the cops reckon no one stopped to help me coz i was in jeans boots and a black leather jacket, mistook me for a gang member it just dont figure but i hold no grudges, life is too short for that shit
ride for freedom, ride safe, ride for me, and all the other bikers no longer able to ride

I guess this "dumbass cager" should not have got out of bed on Suday morning to have to deal with those brilliant riders
What? Actually, yeah, I would have prefered the both dumbasses removed from my road. Have you seen anyone about your " usage issues?

I tend to agree.. its not like the chees grater is on the fog line

YEAH... so what tomorow it will be about a group of solex riders, if people want to put 'all' HDer's in one basket then so be it, that be their problem if they choose to take exception to it.

In this case it was HD's what would the do gooders of KB like us to call them? 'exhibit Y' and FWIW there is a group of riders local to us that ride HD and Triumps that are born againer's... they ride like shit so please understand were some may be comming from, again I refer to my "our own worst enemy" thread were I was ridacalled for sayin Harley and Triumph... when I should have said 'bikes' even tho they were HD and Trumphs.

    A dangerous bastard indeed.
and you problem is what? simple dont cross the farking center line... learn to ride instead hey now DB, was using that as an example you know that, so dont take it personaly man.

I would have to say that it really makes no odds what bikes people are riding if they 'cause' an accident. If you do something stupid on a motorcycle you are not only a danger to Joe Public but primarily you're a danger to yourself, ergo; a fuckwit.

Regardless of the type of machine those people were astride, if (IF!) they caused the driver to crash then they deserve to suffer the consequences.

However, who is to say the driver didn't just 'freak out' when a handful of (very likely loud) V-Twins came rumbling past? If the gap they were aiming for was a bit tight they would have been on-throttle and may very well have swung left just as their rear tyre cleared the front of the automobile.

Who hasn't done that? ("Let he who is whithout sin.." etc etc.)

I think you may have misunderstood.
They were not passing the car.
    They were heading towards it.
It could have been a very nasty head on, with many people getting hurt or killed.
Feel the fear and do it anyway
