    Anything to watch out for?

Pretty keen on a Triumph Tiger for the next bike.
Do they have any issues/probs to look out for?

The main thing to watch is that engine. It is so super smooth that you will likely find yourself going much faster than you expect. This is turn can lead to loss of weight in your wallet.

    Other than that, just enjoy.

Thumbs up Have I got the bike for you

    GREAT all rounder.

So long as you accept their limits they are a good Adv bike. Not quite up to 950/990 in the rough stuff but everything else they are good.

I'm told the motors will go forever, nice smooth power, no problems with mine to date.

Unlike Iains(Crisis) 990 they don't fall on their sides at the sight of a bridge

Plenty of power, great sports tourer, and a mean sound with the right pipe

If you'd like a test ride just let me know.

    I'll take offers over $11k.......

YES, 690. Saying that, the Husky 570 could get a look in

Given up on the misses doing any long distance rides so will get one for me so I can go where you lot (DRZ, DR, 640 etc) go.

Would like to keep it but.......

    Which Tiger are you considering?

Tigers are a little too heavy to be proper adventure bikes, but are quite easy to handle.

I have a 1050, but I found the 955 was better off road (it could just have been the road). The 1050 is however heaps more powerful on the road. It's down to personal preference and the type of riding you will be doing.

Bastard......I've given up on the two man to free up the 30th too, and this is the gratitude I get!

Actually he's right, I would have bought on except it's physically a bit big for me and the small front rim didn't do it for me.

    Lovely motor and trans tho!

As icekiwi has posted this in the Adv thread I'm assmuing he's going to go for the 955 as the 1050 Tiger is a 'sealed road only' bike.

Accepting the fact any bike can be ridden on gravel.......

Yep, you wouldn't want to do any serious off roading on the 1050. It's a lovely machine but not quite up for too much gravel. Mind you, mine dealt to the Gentle Annie quite well, but it was hard work.
It's only Rock and Roll but I like it

If you want to give the 690 a go, just ask at the gravel bash.

icekiwi, we have 2 of them in our Wanaka Motorcycle club and both love them, by all accounts, a bike you can sit on all day.

Only thing I would say is they are not made for shorties.
