Ok the inverter sounds like a cool idea but whats that gonna cost $250..$300 then if you had to buy a cheap karcher $130 thats $400 to $500 then a watertank it all adds up i think i will go for the under $200 option with every thing i need, in something the size of a 20lire plastic container. Besides we are trying to squeeze everything onto a 3 bike 7x4 trailer so the smaller the better .
I must admit though the inverta idea has me thinking ,
any ideas on cheap invertas ?

i was pulling the piss in my previous post regarding the inverter idea.
you're looking around $1500-2000 for a 1.5kw inverter. then theres the issue of running it.
given that to run a 1500w inverter from a 12v battery youl will be pulling
125AMPs of current....
consider then that your vehicle likely has a 100A alternator if its a big one, and that thats its max rating, at revs well above idle this will fuck your battery and alternator real fast, blow chunks off your battery if you knock the cables- cause fire if you get big arcs, etc etc etc............................................... .................................................. .................................................. .........
to summarise- running a waterblaster off an inverter isnt a viable option. use a petrol one
here is a 1000w inverter for $47 USD

My water blaster draws 1.3kw, so get a slightly smaller unit.
Or, get a stuffed one and marry it up with a car starter motor. should be grunty enough.
Hey man im no expert, but you really think a 20L tank is goin to do 3 bikes??? Jus sayin but my missus bought me one of those monster cleaner things for cleaning my bike and.... to be honest i could piss more steam than it claimed, be carful of bollocks ad campaigns that sound to good to be true!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
solution is what everyone else does i think... clean it when you get home. or even better clean it at work!
i use to repair pump sewage and water pump and there are some very good high pressure 12volt pumps you can get

Ok now have a carcube..wow really well made.. and got it for a very very good price .. have tried it for pressure and its more powerful than a garden hose but not as powerful as a waterblaster...should be fine as long as mud and crap is still wet..will let you know how it works at a race meet or trail ride

the new repco mailer has a 1300psi petrol powered waterblaster for $249, thats the same pressure as the cheap karachas
Wow thats cheap, i looked into a petrol waterblaster
but carrying it on the trailer plus the 2 bikes ,ez up, and a water tank, would just be too much for the poor old 7x4 trailer, with the carcube i can carry everything plus an extra 20litres of water with almost no extra weight
im taking pics of my trailer setup tomorrow and will post on here, ive set up my trailer independant of the car its got a 12v deep cycle mobility scooter battery and accesory outlet in the side of the tool box, thats runs the car cube and a tyre compressor,we are racing this sunday at cambridge motox and this will be its first test,,,, yep 1300psi is ideal for washing bikes ive had a mobile car valet business for about 11 years and have probably worn out 8 or 9 waterblasters in that time.. low pressure is all you need.. i use about 50 litres per car and use a 200 litre tank
cheers Dave
