Hyosung '08 factory warranty - Service intervals?

    Hey,

Tried to find some information using the search but nothing here that I could find.

If you buy a brand new Hyosung GT250R 2008, when is the first service due and when are services due after that. Also, what costs are you looking at for these services and what needs to be done?

Know you need to get it done at a hyosung dealer

    I see it has a 2yr warranty - is this a limited km's warranty?

    Cheers

    Aaron

Pretty sure it was unlimited kms. Check with the dealer.

Around $220 for the servicing. Well that's what I got charged going to 2 different Hyosung dealers. Unlimited Km's warranty too.

Technically, you don't have to have all the servicing done by a dealer. Not even the dealer will do all the servicing in that schedule.

I'd tell them you are trying to save money and and ask what servicing can you do yourself. It's quite time consuming cleaning the chain and re-lubing it properly, but thats exactly the sort of thing their technicians do for $60/hour or more. So take the bike in there and tell them what you have already done, and leave the complex stuff for them.

Meh. I serviced mine when I blew the front Piston to bits.

    Good luck.

I would do the first service about 500 miles. And true most dealers of any brand dont do all the stuf that you are charged for, but they do go over the bike check tightness of nuts and bolts steering stem chain brakes. Very rarely do the valves need adjusting after the break in and I dont know of any dealers that even check unless there is hard starts, clatter or poping in airbox.. After second oil change I would run a good sythetic like REPSOLsintetico my personal choice..Remeber if you use synth you dont need to change the oil as often.. If you race dont use synth as it is expensive and you have to change it alot.... At the shop where I work we charge 89.95usd for the first service on our Hyosung cycles...
