    Wanted - Radar Mount

I am looking for a Bel RX65 radar detector mount for my Honda CBR600RR. Anyone have one for sale or know a place I can buy one? Prefer the mount that you dont have to drill holes into the windscreen.

Cuppla 6 inch nails, wiv the ends bent over works well for me. 6 inch is long enough you can hammer em right through the detector , so you dont need to mess wiv no stinkin brackets

i built mine, not hard and didn't even turn out too bad, built three at the time in a kind of trail and error process took a morning and K14 still has one of them in use. Mine got nicked with my bike.

SO my advice is look at where you want to mount it and build it yourself

this one is current one, magnets on to tanks, they are rather strong!!!

early prototype of old one, ended up being the mirror image mounted on the right through the mirror bolts and around the h frame, and was in stainless

got one of those stem-bolt mounted from radardirect.co.nz for $200+
A bit expensive, but very enjoyable. 100% plug-n-play.

yeah cheers QUASI, gimme a day to get you a photo. I have just finished my prototype camera/radar mount. Made from polished aluminuim it will use the existing bolt holes around your fuel tank to fit to your bike. I have been testing it with a video camera and it doesn't get in your way at all.

Agrh fuck it i'll see if i can sneak through my flatemates room and take a pic for you now....

My Beemer has one I made that mounts on the top of the brake master cyl, as they are hard to find anywhere to mount a RD anywhere else. The Bmw has 4 screws holding the cap down, and I made a plate to fit over this, with an L bracket off it that holds the RD. If anyone wants a photo, i can take one tomorrow in daylight, now my camera is finally working.

My GSXR and RZ350 used suction cups onto the screen.

I just made a flat plate with countersunk holes that use the front brake master cylinder screws and screws on top of master cylinder. Velcro holds detector on. Works great.

Do you guys hardwire the radar to the electricals?

Will the mount that attaches to the bikes handle interfers with the handling?

Still searching for the best mount to get. Unfortunately I dont have the equipment to cut and bend metal to make myself a mount.
