    Jardine pipe

Just jetted the KLR and threw a Jardine RT-5 on it...and fekking heck is it loud. Not really the outcome I wanted-I like the extra boogie but not the noise. It's supposedly 96db with the quiet insert in it, but still sounds louder than the Husaberg.

Anyone else have one of these on their DR650 or KLR650?

I have an RT-4 on my klr and its a little louder than stock.

If you already have the quiet insert then there is not much else you can do. I tried mine with the standard muffler and it took all the low end snap out of it - made it feel like a DR (well maybe not quite that bad ...).

I tried repacking mine with quality muffler packing and it made sod all difference. It is essentially a straight through design.

At least you will never come around a corner and surprise livestock - they are long gone .....

Mine has a pissy wee aftermarket pipe which was WAY too loud, I made an intermediate resonator which killed the big boom and is much better now.

I didn't wonna put the 44 gallon drum stocker back hence I did what I did and it is still 1/3 weight of the stocker.

Yeah, the weight savings is incredible. The stocker is an effen boat anchor.

Can you WOF it with the QMI in it...or do you just swap back to the stocker when the time comes?

the stocker is the only way to get a wof.

The wof testers winge about ruptured eardrums otherwise
