That's wicked!! I bet that gives hope to a lot of people who would still be keen riders but can't for many physical reasons. Maybe I could get a set fitted to a 1098 then I wouldn't have to worry about being too short to reach the ground. Brilliant!
"Paging Mr IL4 to the courtesy phone, courtesy phone for Mr IL4"
Would also be great for short arses. Never be a bike too big again.
I have seen a similar system on a fully faired, enclosed bike. Worked a treat.
Bike was awesome. Incredibly fast and fuel efficient.

Wow,what a great idea, and so bloody simple really.
Be the person your dog thinks you are...
Shit, that is fuckin awesome!! I bet that would change a few peoples lives! +1 tot he pople that invent stuff like that!![]()
So do they operate when the brake lever is engaged or at a particular speed?
Just re-watched the vid....ok, not the brake, must be a certain speed?
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !
Those've been available for LeadWings in Mrka for like, ages. Not so much for physically disabled riders as for those who can't cope with the huge unwieldy mass of the bike at standstill and low speeds.
I wonder how well they'd do when parking on slopes?
They're actually better suited for the LeadWing, as it has a reverse gear - ideal for a limbically challenged rider too.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
