Really good. Are in the new house, unpacked and now I terrorise the neighbourhood with remote control trucks/buggies/car that go far too fast and one thats noisier than a RZ350LC (I know as I built one into race spec and then thrashed it to death when I was younger). Hows things your way, are you like me, waiting for better weather to get out? I was supposed to be getting a self-drive van at the end of the month. But the vehicle has not even made it into NZ yet. The new date Ive been given is the end of Oct, I'll be happily surprised if it gets to me by Xmas, if getting my other equipment is anything to go by. Im hoping that its not too far away as the Airtrek needs its turbo reconned and Im hopng to dispose of it before its done. The weather is mint here today, I hope that there are plenty of bikers out on the roads this weekend. As thats exactly where I would be if I could still ride a bike. One of theneighbours has a dog thats allowed to shit all around the place and wander. Im going to put the knobblies on the truck and go and rip up their frount lawn. Ive allready got rid of one arsehole neighbour since we got here, joys of having far too much spare time to organise cunning plans and then speaking your mind to them, without holding back anything. Some people do the most horrid things in their homes, but get so embarrassed and shocked when I loudly pointed it all out, when they had heaps of family and friends there. They moved on in less than a month after that time, once they realised that we owned the house and that she couldnt bitch to the landlord about us.Life still does have the most satisfying moments and when they packed, one of the next door kids lost their rugby ball. Simply because it was accidently kicked over their fence and they refused to give it back or even admit that it was there. Im buggered if I want people like that around me and once we all got together to talk about this one particular neighbour, their stories was far worse than anything that I had experienced. Anyway, Ive got to go and rip the lawn. All going well their dumb mutt will chase the truck like it has in the past. Then it can chase it onto our property, I'll tie it to the washing line and then the pound can come and get it. I looked at what the fines are these days and the said mutt apparently is not registered either. The owner might end up parting with some cash in the future. Sad thing is the owner is probably as dumb as the mutt and wont learn a thing from it.

Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.
Sounds like you are firing on all 4, what is that little adage: "Idle hands make mischief"!
Our Weather has been great this weekend, we went over to Cromwell yesterday (on the bike) to watch our grandson riding at the South Island Junior moto cross champs!
Poor old (23) Delphinus had his birthday yesterday and we had to hurry him off after staying overnight, so after breakfast in bed and up and away, no lay in in bed for him. (sorry about that Jack)
The ride over the Lindis Pass was a bit cool but really nice both ways overall, the event was enjoyable, well run and apparently our bloke came in about 13 out of 34 riders in his event.
Well bike riders are out and about again now, so next it will be the blowflies and then the rally season will be up and away, starting down here with the Pissed Penguin at Kaka Point in September.
Washed the Tiger today, nice not having everything frozen and using a hose that doesn't behave like a coil of spring steel.
The Tiger sure looks much better without all that winter grime off and all the shiny bits and nice blue paint sparkling in the warm sun!
Taranaki is my least travelled area in NZ and while it has always been my intention to change that, there always seems to be something cropping up to stop me getting up there!
Well this summer I am determined to get there come hell or high water, so with a bit of luck we may get a chance to drop in and say g'day!
My grandfather helped to build the road up to Dawson Falls with his bullock team and my mother was borne at Kaponga while they lived at wee town called Rowan, so I have a wee bit of nostalgic interest for the Naki!
You profile pic is a nice one and gives the impression that things are going pretty well for you again but I guess nobody ever said it was going to be easy so stay up there on top of the tough stuff John. Cheers oldriders.![]()

Ummm I'm not sure if Rowan ever qualifed to be called a town. Currently there is a kind of rock garden on the corner but...
Kaponga is still there, sort of.
Dawson Falls probably hasn't changed all *that* much...
If you do venture up bring ya bike. Just one idea, the Toko Lions have organised a Chateau (Tongariro) to (Stratford) Plateau ride the last couple of years and it seems to be growing. This involves a ride down SH43, our best and brightest, and was in January from memory.
Anyhoo if yer coming make sure we all know![]()
