I enjoy smoking cigars and my Petersen Churchwarden pipe every now and then. I have a few packs of Borkum Riff which are quite enjoyable, though they were brought back from KL for me by my girlfriend rather than purchased here.
I would suggest Havana House as a first port of call. I know they used to stock pipe tobacco.

When it comes to tobacco, I'm a pipe n00b; just got my briar, what, a couple months ago? Something like that.
There are some extensive online reviews of various pipe tobaccos. I've only tried Amphora Full Aroma so far. I like it.
The cigar shop on Customs St by the downtown Westfield mall (as linked to by SlashWylde above) has a few pipe tobaccos in stock. Can't recall the brands. I should really pop in and get something else to try.
The main problem with a pipe, I've found, is that not being able to smoke inside really makes it too much hassle to bother with for winter evenings at home. It takes a while to get through a bowl. It's not like just popping out to the back porch for a durry. You need a smoking location where you can sit and relax.
The outside table at Galbraiths is a nice place for it. Particularly with a pint of porter.

New pipes have to be broken in.
The idea is to smoke a new pipe so that the inside bowl becomes carbonised. In general the older the pipe the better it gets.
I had four pipes in vary stages of 'marination.' Each pipe was soaked in a differerent kind of spirit for about six months. With the bowl carbonised the spirit can 'take' into the wood and it is burns you will get a subtle flavour of the alcohole The older the pipe the better it gets.
I soaked mine for about a year then simply changed the bowl
Brandy is by far the most common used or if you want to go over board Cognac is better.
I had one soaked in port that was nice.
As for toabbacco Erinmore was the last one I smoked.

The aroma from a nice pipe or quality cigar wafting across the wind is always very tempting and creates a desire to participate!
The same goes for a really rich coffee aroma!
The trouble is for me, none of them actually like me very much, so I am confined to being a passive appreciator!
Unfortunately booze treats me the same now too!
