About 55 miles per gallon - the True and Proper way to measure fuel consumption.

About 19+ km per litre for those who are less educated.

Good enough for about 200+ km before needing a fill.

This is on a 1200cc bike two-up with gear.

Hey - no fair. You *got* to introduce yourself.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

10 kms to a litre. My bike is getting new carburator seals, a new air filter and a new fuel filter while it's in the bike shop. So hopefully I will get some more mileage out of it. It will probably need a tune though for much of a difference.

The SV gets about 18 - 19k/l , which is worse than my old FZR250. Sort of surprising considering most of the petrol in the FZR ended up either half burnt on the plugs, or out of the exhaust in the form of black smoke.

Does a regular 17+ km/l 2 up and pack, just been to the shop and sorted out the mixture so may even do more now.

Awesome bikes the CX turbs, also came out as a 650cc.... go here to see mine.

As far as the fuel thing goes...... the Storm isent the best, mind you it does have the largest carbs the jap's have ever put out on a production bike.
    12.5 km/l or approx 35 mpg which is 238km on a 19L tank.
    cheers DD

Arrow Depends on what I'm riding.

The CB400f2 is pretty good on fuel consumption, provided I'm not ringing its neck.
Give a 2 stroke and forget about fuel consumption, as the only reason for me using one, is to ring its neck...

18-20kml open road cruising economy is pretty durned good for a 290kg 1300.

The CB400F2 (or is it an CB400SF?) has been getting 17kml but that's mostly 2 up highway riding.
My FXR150 got 32 kml when I first got it and finished up at about 25 kml after some carburetor adjustments and fitting a larger rear tyre (more friction I guess).
