Ok, I am thinking about this. Clearly I can't use MY wife either as that is possessive. So what can I say. My wife would not want me using her name here on this forum. So what do I say when I am referring to the woman that I married 15 years ago and share the most important parts of my life with?

I doubt that there would be any safe way of referring to her on this forum.

She is my wife as I am her husband. So Mom.... what is ok to say?

    SWMBO is useful...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

In a nervous panic on my wedding day, I completely forgot the name of the beautiful creature I was about to marry, on turning to the best man for help I found I had forgotten to invite him. In a brief moment of clarity, I remembered it's customary for the vicar ( who's name I had forgotten) to read out the names during the ceremony so all would be well.

As a vision in white walked towards me the Vicar announced "Ah, 'THE BRIDE'" the name didn't ring any bells but he seemed to know what he was talking about and the old tape player in the corner was playing 'here comes THE BRIDE' so I went with it. After a bit of crying, mumbling and fumbling (the ceremony) the vicar asked THE BRIDE to sign the book so by my reckoning her official name both pre and post wedding is 'THE BRIDE'

Fourteen decades later and I still use it as a term of endearment and love and she is often introduced to people as the bride. My official title when being introduced is 'this is my man, please don't pity me"
    Oh bugger

Women don't roar. They nag, grizzle, irritate and scream.
What did men do that was so bad for us to be assigned such a creature.

Well. 's'obvious ain't it? When *he* goes outdoors , *she* stays indoors, cooking the eggs , and making herself sexy for when he returns and wants a bit.

Thaz why she's called 'er indoors.
