    54 AJS parts?

    Hey guys,

I don't suppose anyone here owns an AJS? I'm currently tidying up my 500ST and would LOVE to know of any importers for spare parts on one of these wee beasts!

Any help or point in the right direction would be much appreciated

The Matchless G9 was a much better bike...I don't know about AMC parts, but I'm sure someone specialises in them. The running gear is generic AJS/Matchless of the period, only the 500cc twin engine is different....sorta.

Hi, you could try contacting your local Vintage Car Club as they have a 'motorcycle section' which might be able to help. Or advertise in the Beaded Wheels magazine.

join the ajs matchless owners club in the uk

they have loads of parts and remanufacture most spares

had a 500 twin ajs once, had a lot of fun on it

matchless and ajs twin parts are interchangable the only differences are the timing cover and the engine numbers

The NZ club is a good one - full of crusty old nutters keen to help and they usually ride the things too...

Lots of adverts and specilists mentioned on the site too,,,

    General stuff - british Spares

Good luck with it.... Nice enough old bikes, bloke up the road has one I'd put in my shed any day...

    Loads of stuff on eBay.

The vintage clubs are great and you will sometimes get widdows selling their departed's pride and joy. The problem you get is that there is a 'life story' that goes with every conversation, which can be time consuming (very).

    Great looking bike.

    Good luck.
