Moray's upper cylinder lube and injector cleaner

Has any one used them in their bikes?

I have seen them being used in racing RX7's, and I have used them in my high strung skyline... but bikes?

from my skyline experience, it does make the motor more free reving and lowers the exhaust temp.

    Yep,
I have used it in bikes for years.
CBR thou, Guzzi Daytona which was injected, BMW K100 and my current Guzzler.
It instantly raises the idle, so you have to knock it back a little is all.
    Good in cars too.
If you are going to use it, use it all the time. I take a mini amount under the seat for long trips.
You can buy direct from Morays over the counter if you live out West AK for really cheap, The top end stuff you are talking comes in a 5 liter which is the best value, I also use the heavy duty oil stabiliser in my diff and gearbox, but I would not reccomend it if you 'box is combined with the engine / clutch pack.
Morays also have a marine grade grease while I'm at it promoting them, it's great for bike wheel bearings, repels water really well. And best of all, it's not imported, it's made in NZ by NZ'ers!

So what do you want,an injector cleaner or upper cyl lube? There are other products that will do one or the other better than Moreys - something that cleans injectors will have solvents,it can't be an upper cyl lube as well.Moreys is just base oil - it's what they add to oil to improve viscosity index (I used to know a guy who was an oil blender for Castrol,he laughed when I showed him Moreys,I've seen it myself at Dominion Oil Refineries when it was going too) I use 2 stroke as an upper cyl lube.

Not rubbishing Moreys,it has it's applications,I use it in gear drives of various types. When looking after a fleet of rental bikes that were used on rough gravel roads and often had two pillions, the steering head bearings chopped out in 6 mths, the grease went hard like soap.So I re did every one with Moreys grease...and never touched them again...10 yrs later I still saw some of those bikes on the road, still with Moreys grease in the steering head.

I use some sort of upper cyl lube in the R65, but I have no idea what it is. It comes in an old brake fluid bottle, is red and kinda syrupy.

I don't know the NZ distributor, but you can probably buy it online.

You'll be wanting "Molyslip E Oil Supplement"

Yes, I was hoping to avoid on line buying.

    Most good gun shops.
It comes in a powder form for coating bullets.
You would have to mix it with a carrier oil to use it in your bike.
But why bother, just use Militech1,also to be got from your local gun shop.
    Good places gun shops!!
Oh yeah REDEX does the same thing as Moreys.

''Upper cylinder lube'' was common in the 'good olde days',but I don't know why,the motors had poor oil control and usualy no intake valve seals, plenty of oil got to the top end.(the reason there has been advancement in this area is only for emmission control, burning oil raises emmisions).Any oil hitting the back of the intake valve will burn on and form carbon - I have seen intake valves so covered in carbon the motor won't rev,we've had to chip the carbon off with a screwdriver.Doing a valve grind we would often have to clean off 10,13mm from the back of the valve - why would you want to send oil there? I use 2 stroke oil,a good clean burning oil,use it in my diesel too.Why 2 stroke?...um,10 yrs ago I bought a case of 2 stroke oil, then sold my smokers and stopped mowing my own lawns...gotta use the damn stuff up somehow!
