Kinda need as much help as I can get too - came unstuck last year on the TTTTT ride in a slippery patch & I've been blaming it ever since on the 15t & not being able to ride slow enough & control the bike proper-like ... excuse now been used for too long, so I suspect I'd better change & come up with something new. Will of course never admit that a "very slight" lack of fitness & riding skills may have contributed

The bike will be fine, several 1100's, 1150's, 1150 GSA's & 1200's have been through there before, plus quite a few 100PD's.

I can't speak for the retard however.

Consider me apprehensive! Me 1200GSA is a lardy tart (*said quietly so she doesn't hear me*). Whats the track like? Is it a gravel road, or is it actually slippery shit?
Should I just wait for summer to be safe before doing it?

95% of it is very hard packed dirt. If it's wet some of it might be slippery.

Dr Ed's recommendation is to take 2 HTFU pills and find out on the day. It's worth the ride.

I am going to be doing it on my 690 with the sahara 3 tires, so if it is wet we might just be fcked together.

Anthrax, cool will see you there.
I think wrf2500 is doing the trailer down there thing also.

Bastards. Haha. Have I mentioned i'm only 5'9"? On a GSA? Perhaps I should have asked if the ride was suitable for someone on tiptoes...

I've done it on my fully fueled 100GS PD, which with 35 litres on board wouldn't be far shy of that. I was running E-09 rear and 3/4 worn TKC front.

With decent tyres like those it shouldn't be an issue.
