    I am keen!

A few of us did them both ways, the fishers was way more fun on the way back up.
I kinda wished I had done the 42nd both ways, but was feeling pretty tired and wanted to save some energy for the ride back up to auckland (and I really really really wanted a beer), but I am glad I did because the route back north was so much fun.
Thanks tri-boy, bass, crisis and kokopelli for the company and the great route north.

That copy/paste URL thing's not gone so well.

    Thanks all....

For the company and the ride together on the Whangamomona Rd...
Yes, it was like skating on ice, the bike wanted to go wherever and a couple of times it went in a different direction without me!
Not to worry, the ride was awesome and I was very suprised how well the Scorpion tyres go...
They do fill with clay farily quickly but they also empty out if you give it a few beans out of the mud/clay!
I follwed a nice toute home through the back roads to Urenui, I stuck to the metal and single laners and it was great, not one car for the wholr trip to the main highway

The bike is sitting in the rain and I am making the most of the squalls that are rumbling through, this will save a bit of elbow grease for cleaning!

I really had no control on the very slippery parts, but it was fun and it made me realise how well the bike performs without a rider on it.....

    Hate boats.
Now you've got the Intiminators the KLR shouldn't move about as much as the boat.
