Petrol wise I'm better off with the blackbird and plus I can say things like "I just rode a black bird"

But the ZX14 - my gosh... that is just sexy. Those lights and the side grill bits just turn me on.

The whole "honda=gay" is very much below me

Both can be fitted with pack racks and suitable tank bags - which is enough for me. I'm not into hard luggage.

Me neither.

I think the magnetic tank bags are great and if you don't need to take a pillion (which I don't) there is no need to spoil the great lines with bulky bags (just that you mentioned touring NZ). I got one of those Tank Slapper kits the other day to save the paintwork. Great idea.

Good luck with the big decision. Either choice will be for a fantasic bike.
