    wet brakes

    why is it that when it rains my brakes are REAL GOOD. but when its dry their just ok?
    ive got a single disc on front and drum rear.
    hang on ill just find my caring face.....

    Hummm / May have something to do with the compound of the brake pad's ?? . When it rain's may be cooling the disc more & pads working better than when disc is hot . Eg the pads may be gettig to hot & glazing slightly ??

    ahh sensei you maybe right.grasshopper will check disc out when light returns to the world.
    in other words ill look in the morning when i get it out of the shed!!

    ummmm

    further to this thread i discovered that no pads left also means no brakes!!!!
    replaced pads and wahay got brakes again!!
    hang on ill just find my caring face.....
