Go where the fish are, he said, and it's very good odds you'll catch one.
And after being around KB for a while now, if your having a boring weekend, post on Kb about how unfair the cops are

It's like serving up pork at a jewish wedding

The amount of people telling him to quit moaning amazes me, and pretty much establishes why we live in such a pathetically policed state.

+1 on that, we don't need to take this shit. People should grow some balls and stand up to the government we're in. This is not a dictatorship like many people believe.

Yeah - don't pay the ticket, take them to court, make sure the Police invest lots of time in your rather than ticketing others (like me f'rexample).
ou won't win but think of good you'll feel standing up in front of the judge making your case on behalf of all us law abiding common folks!

We are kiwibiker! The Police need to consult us before enforcing stuff that affects us .... no?

You forgot to close your sarcasm tag!

Doesn't that just sound like the system is fucked then? It's designed so that actually trying to change something takes more than a person can be bothered. People just give up and democracy sinks to a new low. +1 to the Govt

People don't have a say in the actual things that matter, they are just given the illusion of it.

Yeah we do. We can vote for this party, that party or form our own party and make our very own rules.

Don't tell me you still believe in the meaning of democracy ?

Democracy is an illusion, party politics and policy stand as an anathema to democracy, media screwed smoke and mirrors.
Our so called western democracy has long ago been hijacked by market forces and capitalistic values - they perpetuate the virtual reality that is touted as freedom
Those who enter politics may start with great ideals, but soon degenerate to hold on to power
The English language has developed in such a manner, that more often than not, what is said has a different reality for each individual truth - it is the tool of the wise and corrupt

To avoid disillusionment with human nature, we must first give up our illusions about it. Abraham H. Maslow

A very bleak view indeed Smoke.

But you contradict ourself here too. "Those who enter politics may start with great ideals, but soon degenerate to hold on to power".

You admit then, that a person with the conviction, COULD infact do what they set out to do. Making our democratic system a true one.

Edit: Exactly what fuckin freedoms do you not have? Fuck off some place else if it's so bad here.

This is exactly right. The sign denotes where the zone changes, and you should be at the required speed at the change over point. Police are not paid to be judges or lawyers, have not been trained to take on such a task, and shouldn't be required to as if that's what they wanted to do, that's what they would've trained and signed on for.

The sign shows no bias, does not discriminate, and can't move itself to entrap or otherwise fudge an infringement. They don't need discretion for something black and white.

You're either paying attention to the roads and signage like you are obligated to do when operating a motor vehicle, and therefore immune to getting infringement notices relating to speeding at zone changes, or you're not. Quite simple really.

Cops only sit as zone changes because people are lazy wankers who think they can stretch the rules to suit themselves; those people have nobody to blame but themselves.
