Ooh thats a big claim! I ride fuck all!! LOL Between China, work, family, sprained wrists (got 1-2 more physio appointments) and mangled fingers, riding has been a pretty low priority this year.

I think that we should all have another NAR meeting and fix your bike!!

That sounds like a good idea, I'll offer my services as bike transporter guy to get it there...... With the combined KB knowledge available we should be able to at least get the spark plug in the right way round.......

the KX100 does have a bit more torque than a 85, basically it is the 85cc big wheel with a bigger piston, you can change 85 over if you really want, there is not that many parts that are different, the KTM105 is pretty similar, i think KTM even sell and upgrade kit for the 85cc,

i think a KX85 with a flywheel weight would be pretty close IMO,

kawasaki has never brought in large amounts of KX100's, so they are not that comman, Suzuki brought in a shipment of 04 RM100, which are KX100's with yellow plastics that were made during 04-06 when kawasaki and suzuki were sharing models, there are a few of these around, but they are pretty sort after and i have not seen one second hand for a while,

I'm terrible because every time Krad suggests we fix it (my bike) I suggest we go see a movie or go to lunch or anything other than work on my bike because it's been so often lately it drives me mental when it used to be fun/interesting! Tho I thought I might try giving it a whack the other night and then remembered I have no idea how to work a multimeter without killing myself to death. Bike is sitting all conveniently in bits in the kitchen waiting for krad to guide me thru it since electrical things aren't my strong point (Hi krad!-guess what we're doing this weekend! )
I can empathise with you now cheesey, You probably head out more than me these days, no riding for ages.....
Geez Spiked Punch you were going so well, why don't you bite the bullet and take it into Spectrum and get it looked at! I know it's a cost but isn't it worth it! You want to get it ready for the summer season with all the trail rides. An unreliable bike takes all the fun away! You were so keen! If you don't want to take it in and get fixed you've got these great KB'ers keen to help!

OK so a KX85 weighted, is similar to a KX100 so from that a I take it the KX100 with a fly wheel weight would fit the bill peeeerfectly as a trail bike? Shit you could even prefit it in your shop and charge the extra $100!
So why don't you get a few in! The market is def there if KB is anything to go by!!!!
Steve from Triple X imported 125exc's off his own bat and now Ktm are importing them in the range. I must talk to him about the 105??
But from what I can judge the opportunity is there for you Scott "first in first served" jeepers you've already admitted the old Rm100 is in high demand??
Or are we going to have to go overseas ourselves and cop it from KB for importing them?? LOL!!! poor old Krasher never would have known what he was starting with that thread!!!
    Do it!!! LOL!!!

turth is i have never had a firm offer to get one, if someone really wanted a new one i would get one, but they would be a touch dearer than a 85 big wheel,

when they are brought in they never sell that well for some reason, Suzuki had to special off all the RM100's when they had them, KX500's were the same, the second hand market was always great for them, but they never sold that well brand new, they sold 2-3 of them a year, except the last year when they were going to be discountued and they did a big push and an indent order, they sold 10 or 12 that year (04), still not that many for the whoel country

i would suggest the reason the 100s never sold well new is that most 85s are bought new to be mx race bikes, and nowhere that im aware of has a mx race class suitable for 100cc bikes.

without people buying them new, there are few to buy 2nd hand

    could be entirely wrong though.

your 100% right i think, there was no race class so no sales for them,
