    Bike casing welding?

    well the story so far
    triumph t595 engine rebuild
putting motor back into frame and what do you know we cracked the bottom engine casing while doing up mounts
anybody know a skilled ali welder so we can try this option first before i shell out for a new casing
all options will be gratefully taken onboard
    cheers

Exactly the same thing happened on a mate's 995. And we followed the workshop manual to a T. Right torques and everything.

hans we were doing the same thing.
this time were finger tightning the mount bolts and then see where the gaps are in frame
they call for 80nm for tight ,maybe not go that hard out this time either
oh well got a quote to fix 600 bucks
needs a day of welding and pissing around on it
if it happens again there will be a 955 daytona selling for parts
