    Missing a mate already.

Speaking to Sue on Sunday she told me the couple of Auckland bike crashes in the weekend. One being a man enlisted in the Airforce.

I instantly though of Nolly, 22 years old, extremely bright and the happiest bloke on the plannet.

Seems my worst fears are confirmed after reading the paper today.

Wellington motorcyclists may remember Kiel as the tall, smiley bloke who worked on the spares counter at Motorad for some time. He punted an RSV thou at respectable pace and was always seeking to better his riding.

After joining the airforce to pursue his other love, he'd always stop in for a chat and a laugh whenever flying through or in Wellington. We always joked about the bikes he'd test ridden and not bought off me.

My thoughts are with his family and that of his 22 year old girlfriend, Stephanie, also killed in the accident.

Noll, I can't believe you're gone mate and can only pray you're in a better place.

That's awful news Trash. Nothing worse than being able to put a face to a name in the paper, especially when it's someone you know that well.

    Far too young.

Awful news WT. Sounds like a top bloke. For what it's worth, my sincere condolences to you and both families.

    News story link.

Not much to say, really. It's always tragic when young people die.

I guess them's the breaks. Those wot knew him will be able to say whether he would have preferred to die in his bed aged 75 after a life spent wrapped in cotton wool.

    I know the pain.
Remember the good times as life is always so fragile and short.
As to a better place, only God knows that.
Reminds us to make the most of every day that we have, And take all the time time you need to say good by to your mate.
