Hasn't the motorcycle road code been revised to state that motorcycles may overtake on yellow lines as long as they complete the overtake with 100m of clear road?
Someone has commented on this in a previous post....
did ya know ...
bunnings sell road paint ...
"Did you know the human head weighs eight pounds?"
No.
If you don't cross the Yellows, it isn't an offence. The lines don't mean "no overtaking" they mean "do not cross".
However you need to be careful that you have the space and that you don't do it in a way that generates a *555 call or an actual written complaint.
Motorcycles don't get special rules written for them. We do get cut slack in heavy traffic due to our agility and size by Cops with a grain of common sense. Those without are perfectly within the scope of their job description to bust you with anything from "Passing on the Left" to "Careless driving".
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
Transit are going to leave the new livery on the hill after completion of the roadworks, unless there's good reason not to. I say for the next few Martinborough Fair / Tauherenikau race days it'd be a good idea to do the Taka's at funeral procession pace and get those cagers complaining already!.
Mate, those white lines are slipperry, even in the dry!
Some things are worth dying for, living is one of them.
what were you doing on the white lines...you were meant to be testing the double yellows.....
WTF???
I've been in something resembling a coma for the last month. This just ruined my year.
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead
Do not walk ahead as I may not follow.
Do not walk beside me as the path is narrow
In fact FU*K off and leave me alone
Bah, whether it was 2 passing lanes or 4 passing lanes, they didn't need to remove any -_-. Now we've just got fancy white painted run offs to guarantee low sliding in the wet if you overcook slightly - did I mention the sheer drop off the edge? Unfortunately (and contrary to popular belief) I'm not a MotoGP rider and I'm not a master of drifting in the wet on a bike :P
Anyway, I'm sure as someones already mentioned... cagers won't be able to *555 till they pull over with the no cellphones rule!
PS. I'm not really fussed they've removed them, I'm purely bored at my desk at work.
