yeah bit of a fuck up there.

What pisses me off is cop thinks he knows what hes talking about with chain lube flicking onto the edge of the tyre 'and could easily move to middle of the tyre'. But he doesnt even know how to take a key out of a motorbike. Something screams bullshit artist to me.

Didnt the cop love it though

Gave him the big lecture and all. Mind you i suppose they would see their fair share of bad accidents.

Gotta love the other guy hooning past the other way! CLASSIC!

EDIT: Cheers to the mods for the merge. V8&2wheels, great minds post alike!

Scuse my ignorance, but isn't 100kmh the speed limit on the motorway?

If bikers speed was 160 (as said at the end of the program) then wouldn't his fine be $600?

Thought it was $10 per k over the limit was the rule yet he got a grand?

I'm prolly wrong but that was my understanding.

There's no set 10k per limit or something...

Anything over 50kph over the limit, and you will probably be charged with dangerous driving, and you get to have a nice chat to people in a courtroom. Then its an attitude test.

Some people fail those tests alarmingly well.

    Fines

Speeding fines increase progressively from $30 for speeds less than 10 km/h over the limit, to a maximum fine of $630 for speeds up to 50 km/h over the limit.

If your speed is more than 50 km/h over the limit you could be charged with careless, dangerous or reckless driving, and at more than 40 km/h above the speed limit you could also get a 28-day licence suspension.
