    Okay, that was funny.

That proves to me that yellow Ducati 748 owners are from the shallow end of the gene pool.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

Well that guy anyhow. It wasn't funny or cool. He had the makings of yet another kiwi loser.

It certainly doesn't help the general public thinking motorcyclist's are a bunch of morons.

Okay, there was a certain amount of humour to be had at his mate doing a fly by (if you can imagine your high horse was off to one side just for a minute, and we were in the "box', that pretend place where we can discuss anything...).

Wholy hell! I watched the same episode, at the same time, but I must have missed the part where they showed all the stuff that you guys are talking about! I mean, surely it would be fucking ignorant to call him all of these things you are when your only ammo is 3 mins of footage of him without adequate gear? That describes most motorcyclist in NZ at some point.

Having watched the show on tvnz.co.nz I can't help wondering a few things:

Two bikes riding along, passing a few cars & exceeding the speed limit - how does that indicate they were racing? It really isn't that unusual for a couple of guys to ride along the motorway going a bit quicker than they should.

The cop suggests 180kph and says the rider will go to court for exceeding 160kph - I got the impression that they didn't have an exact reading on the speed and the 160+ was just a guesstimate. It seems a little harsh to be charged in court on a guess of your speed rather than actual evidence IMO.

Some chain oil had flicked onto the sidewall of the tyre - I personally doubt that this leads to a high risk of an accident. I don't think the cop was a biker.

He should get off the speeding accusation, chances of getting a radar reading bobbing in and out of cars is very low, however dangerous riding depends if he geta a good lawyer.

I'm pretty sure that was from late last year, I remember seeing a yellow ducati pulled over with the camera crew there as well. I was heading 'east' towards Te Atatu on my GSXR...

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Last year sounds about right. At the end of the episode they mention that the rider was fined $1000 & lost his license for 6 months, obviously the episode screened after his court case. Usually the court case is a few months after the offence.

Load of shit re the chain lube. I never cleaned my old CBR250 and the rear tyre constantly looked like that. 14,000km of commuting and weekend thrashes and not once did the rear feel like it was about to let go. I'm not a fan of 'know alls', some people need to keep their mouth shut sometimes.

Depends on each case when they air.. Police 10-7 is generally aired a month or so later...
I somehow managed to meet most of the Police 10-7 crew (the coppas, not the camera guys!).... but I shall not tell you how...
