The 6am VUW satellite for this morning makes it look like there is less cloud over the North Island. Keeping fingers crossed.
Big thanks to all of you instructors, marshals, and the AMCC club as a whole for making it happen.
Had a fantastic day, learned a lot of new stuff, and looking foward to meeting you fine people again on the next one.
Many Thanks![]()
Yea, 2nd that - awesome day (2 sessions anyway) - Marshals and Organisers were great - lots of good information and hints. Looking forward to the next one in Nov already!
ps. How do you request pictures from the photographers?
So the questions on everybody's lips - how did dpex go with his new riders? Did he make it? Did the delinquents make it? Is his bike still in one piece?
You weren't standing in it every session...
I ended up being in charge at the hairpin training a couple of newbies (ie... their first day). Way to start for them, I think I rank that as equal worst weather in several seasons.
Only had one chap try out our services, with a relatively minor highside, which he trundled back to the pits...

Anyone taking pictures out there yesterday?
I would love a pic of me on my Multistrada - probably the first & last time on track with it!
It had a comedy No.7 on the front...
Well what a day that was!
The forecasted big wet arrived with a vengeance at 2:30 ending proceedings for the day. Standing water and a small river running across the circuit made it too dangerous to continue. Discounts and a BBQ for the next one guy/gals.
The standard of riding considering the conditions was excellent some gaining an understanding of what a sliding bike feels like and the importances of smooth lines and throttle control.
We had a massive contingent of track novices which was fantastic to see and we hope you gained a lot out of the day. Its rewarding to watch individuals improve there skills, taking note of what is being advised and putting it into practise out on the circuit.
Thanks to Gremlin and his team for looking after us out there and testing the efficiency of their waterproofs.
We are always looking to improve the way the day is run so if you have any suggestions/ideas please contact the club or one of us with them and they will be discussed and considered.
See you all in November.
