I don't like the sore jaw bit !
On the open road
On the Motorway
On any road as long as there is no other traffic
In the city
A little before hitting the 100k sign coming from a low speed zone
For approx 200m after hitting a 70k or 50k sign
Only while daylight
Only in the dark
If following a speeding cage
Backroads
Anywhere I get away with it
Nowhere!

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !

Are you serious? When was the last time you walked anywhere let alone crossed a 50km road... now pretend you're 5-10 years old so divide your ablility to judge speed by atleast a bajillion... are you folded in half the wrong way in the gutter by any chance? In towns (or whatever you call residential zones in cities) there is no excuse for speeding. There are myriad reasons not to speed, on the open road however I fail to see any for not speeding on a bike other than endangering one's own life. Serisouly though... If there's one place I wholeheartedly condone patrolling of it's 50km zones. Especially outside schools during intake/outake times (which in most cases are 30km zones). If you speed in town, you're a fucken kid hater.

I'm not suggesting it's ok to speed in town.
What I was trying to point out is that there are some areas in town where 51 is already too fast. To define "speeding" as 61 doesn't take the environment into account.
As an example I used to live in a very narrow street where cars would park on both sides of the road and little kids would play on the footpaths. Anyone doing 50 in that street was speeding in my opinion, because if a kid ran out in front of them there would be no way they could avoid hitting them.
On the other hand there are streets around here that have two lanes in each direction with very wide verges on each side, exclellent visibility and no residential housing at all. I would consider 65 to be a safe speed on some of those stretches and the only thing stopping me "speeding" is the potential ticket.

I topped out at 180km today and to be honest, it felt safer on my new bike than 140km did on my old bike. Nevertheless... on main or even mainish highways... infact, anything called a highway full-stop, I cruise at between 110 and 140... I think that's safe on the particular bike I'm riding. I reckon you would too Scumdog if you were in my boots.

I went 912 km/h on a 747 once. Does that count?![]()
If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.
Ok that's taking it too far. I know 180 is fuck all in the grand scheme but for a 250 it aint bad... and did I say indicated? Handles shit hot in the corners though which is where I think it'll come into it's own. Anyway... you're welcome to get to know me and how much bull there is in my shit if you really want.
