    Check out the photos - the gallery "Your Bikes"

    - a Triumph Thruxton is a good start. Usually a fairly stripped down bike with clip on handle bars, rear set pegs, loud pipes, the the ability to hit 100mph... (ton up!!)

    have fun.

    That's cool - I was at the 2000 reunion and bike run down to Hastings, and I found me in one of their photos - that's cool

    coolness is subjective

    I like a sort of hybrid of cafe and bobber
    Stripped down and lowered fork clamps, with clip-ons, but with a bobber seat and rear guard

    Like the bikes here, however they could be better with clip-ons, remove the pillion pegs of the suzuki, and wrap the pipes with heat cloth and a drop the can for straight pipes;

    Definately have a look all of their own for sure, silly question maybe but an idea of basic costs would be cool if anyone wants to share

    Depends which bike it is. At the extreme basic end get a pair of clip-on bars and a fibreglass race seat.

    Cost is a bit hard - depends what condition the bike is when you start, and how much you do your self
    I did an old CB400 when I was a teenager
    At a guess you need a couple of hundred for clip-ons, an couple of hundred for the seat, then strip and paint you can do your self
    It depends how much chrome you want to redo - or strip it and paint

    So really you can do the basic build for next to nothing, but then it depends on how micky you want it to run - open it up in the intake, re-jet, cams, new pipes - you can actually pend a fair bit, or leave it mostly standard

    depends what ya want

    Sounds fair, once he gets the bike i spose its a matter of checking out a few pics etc & seeing how far & how much he wants to spend
