i had a cheapish TM one and it wore out pretty fast then i got a good one and it has lasted real good.
just make sure you keep it clean.
to open my one you have to stand on it while the casing joins are vertical.
then i clean it with meths on cotton buds.
    lasted for ages.
it took me a bit to get the thing started but now it piss easy.
it seems stupid but i found the slower i tried to make it go the faster the gyro worked.
Thanks for the tips on cleaning your balls.
But I don't think I have the balls to stand on mine like you did.

Some guy was trying to sell them to me at Big Boys Toys... can't remember the price but they were pretty damn cheap... $24 springs to mind?

yeh i got one of those a while back. Has a little magnet in it to make it light up, but they dont glue it on very well so it getts pulled into the other bits and slows it down, gotta jam bit of wire into it every time you wanna go, string brock as well so using some transformer wiring with it now. I probly just got a less than average one, but it happens often enough that the guy knew exactly what the problem was when i emailed him.

They are pretty good for forearm exercises, get the arm-pump after a few minutes of use, and they provide a lot of force once they get going, pity im still too unco-ordidnated to get it to run in my left hand
