first off... quit givin a fuck what anyone else thinks. Are you havin fun? coz that's all that matters. Almost any bike today is great for wheelies anyway.

But as far as wheelies go, gremlin has a point. If you just want to get comfortable with lifting the front then give it time and be patient, no rush, it'll come. But if you want to ride bp until you feel like putting it back down, then be prepared to watch your bike slide down the road... not to mention fork seals while you learn. Great choice of ride mate.
It's just one of those days, where you don't wanna wake up,
    everything is fucked, everybody sucks,
You don't really know why but you wanna justify ripping someone's head off

Saw a guy do a wheelie away from the lights (North-bound) at the intersection outside the stadium in Wellington last night around 6 p.m.

If you are reading this: wheelies are cool.
Measure once, cut twice. Practice makes perfect.

Well not for at least nine days or so. Not since Bautista destroyed his bike attempting a wheelie after the race had finished at BRNO...

Should you wish to risk it though, a search of the Speed Triple specific Internet groups should contain descrioptions of the recommended method for that particular model.

P.S. I do enjoy pushing the cornering limits and would knee down if I had sliders(my conrnering limits which aren't poofterish I think...) but the front wheel up
pm DucatiHard or YamahaR64Life - they are the urban legends for that kind of thing, they'll even show you a few other tricks which they find kinda cool.

Beware the entry fee to join their poofter ranks tho.

The only reason i tried to wheelie is because i wanted to know how the Prila would feel with her front off the ground as this is something that happens very naturally on the power in 1st or 2nd... I figured if i knew, then i'd know when to back off as I like both of my wheels on the ground... In regards to saving your fork seals, instead of covering the back brake, hook your foot under the gear shift and when you shit yourself, just flick your toe and dip the throttle, the resultant drop in revs will allow her to lower more gently... but that's just what and why i did it... and yes i'm a poof...
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

I'd be more concerned at being perceived as a English poof for wanting to pop wheelies. If you want to go on one wheel then buy a motorized unicycle.

Dunno about sexual orientation, as I'm 100% hetero, but after more years than I want to admit riding bikes, I still can't wheelie any good. No sense of balance in anything , never have, all or nothing. Some people can, some can't, just one of those things.
