I've read the same. "Apparently" it was going tio be released at the bike show in Oct last year (intermot or something). MCN in the motherland keep making the shit up. XTZ1200 that looked more like a styled up TDM900 than a proper Tenere with a 21" front wheel and all that. I'm not clsoe to the industy to really know but I wouldnt hold my breath that it will appear or even if it does that it will actually be worthy of the Tenere name.

I wouldn't believe anything written in MCN about new bikes until you also hear it from a 'respectable' source.

I've picked that up which is why I'm not holding my breath. Seems they are very good at getting photo shop out and creating a stir over nothing.

The XT660Z doesnt look any uglier than a KLR. I'd reckon it is better looking. Just wish that somebody would come up with a well suspended version ala the non existent KTM 690 Adventure. I dont even care about the power that much. I only brought a 950 Adv S for the suspension - yer right
