Handlebar-end mirrors?

I have a 2008 CBF 250F Honda. The mirrors are smooth enough but wont show the road behind, just my arms and the shoulders of the road. Have been thinking of fitting a mirror to the ends of the bars.

Has anybody fitted handle bar end mirrors, and if so did they shake a lot? Cheers,

Not really - but they are a bit of a pain on a normal bike.

They make it wider and it's a pain to lane split because they are at the same height as car mirrors.

Get better normal mirrors.

They're expensive, they shake a lot, and from my experience have an inclination towards vibrating loose.

According to my source ( Grumpy ) the lowish slity type mirrors off Aprillas Tuono naked are very good as replacements He got them on his Kwa Z1000
Seen them in person and am considering replacing my Speed Triples wings with these
Cheap as well ( $40 ) each

Fitted mine for the same reason...steady as a rock...cept the bars are wider making filtering a little awkward. I did find less turbulance around my head when I removed the normal mirrors....

I've been looking at these throughout the day. Probably going to get some off ebay. Seller in Hong Kong has them for about US$25 including delivery to NZ.

Got good quality stainless ones on my Guzzi (from the UK). Bit of a pig to set 'just right' but haven't shaken loose in over a year. Vibrate like a bastard at some speeds (whadaya expect - it's a Guzzi) but they fit with the style of the bike and, mostly, give excellent rear vision.

I sure have. And Cambridge. The salient point is the make the bike inconveniently wider. They are OK on Drop bars and clip ons if they are narrow enough to start with.

Thanks for the advice. Big Dave has the right advice, trouble is I cant find mirrors that have any longer reach out from the mountings than the originals.
One solution would be to buy the biggest m****fing sports bike I could then I wouldn't have to worry about any buggar coming up from behind.
