The night was won by Papamoa’s Cody Cooper, who after fighting back from injuries and sickness early in the series beat out fellow Papamoa resident Mason Phillips, Cooper went 1-3-2 to Phillips’s 2-2-3 to claim the victory ,
The series standings are still close heading into the final round at Manakau City this Saturday night with Townley leading with 162, but a log jam behind him with Christchurch’s Justin McDonald on 136, and Cooper and Phillips tied on 135,
The Supercross Lites class was again a Battle with Queenstown’s Scott Columb coming out on top with 2-1-1 results over double class ironman Mason Phillips 1-2-2; these two have been going at it over the whole series, with Phillip’s only 7 points behind heading into the final round.
Final Round, January 23rd, Manakau City, gates open 3pm, racing starts 5pm, more information on www.supercross.co.nz
Sounds like some great racing, good to hear BT was back up & going quickly, hope there is nothing ongoing to come from the hit.
