Good luck, from the comments the boys and girls have about the roads up that way sounds like a lot of fun to be had on new roads for you.
Wouldn't mind giving the Coromandel Loop a go myself at some stage.

    Thumbs up

I'm jealous, back to my hometown. I'd love to do the same.

There's some good riding up there, I'm sure Quasi or someone can show you the Raglan deviation and the Kaimai's over to Tauranga is a similiar distance as the Rimutaka hill is from Wellington. Not as tight but a much nicer surface.

Plus the Coromandel is not far up the road and theres lots of good back country roads with little traffic.

Arrow Spent 8 months in Hamilton.

Was quite happy to leave. Good place for those who don't mind not being close to the sea. Raglan was awesome for the weekends though

Hey Phil, was good to meet you at the top of Paekak the other day. So you made the big decision aye? Good on ya, I hope it works out well.

One day I'll get a leave pass for long enough and might come thru!

    Cheers,
    Mike.

There seems to be a lot of people moving here lately, Ham's is not a bad place to live, there are heaps of cool little bars and cafes, and you are not far from a lot of places. there are heaps of cool roads not far from here and seems to be a few of us on the site so i'm sure you will find one of us to ride with

Heh, yea yea nice wheather, better roads bla bla bla.... Oh wait yea have to agree with all that. Shame town sucks on a friday night, who needs clubs when someones house will do and is much more fun, and if ya get to drunk to ride home just pull up a couch. Yep seems Hamilton isn't that bad after all lol. Can't wait to meet ya Philbilly.

Unless you're out at Titahi Bay - there's no bus to the Bay after the last Unit arrives at Porirua, just one going to Porirua East. By the time you lurch home to the Bay you've sung all the songs you know and you're fuckin' sober. what a waste of all that money spent on grog.

And NC30_chick's right. It's a fucking swamp here, but welcome anyway Philbilly, hope you like pea-soup fog, pervasive damp cold and sweltering humidity. Have a safe trip up here, anyway.
