    pet peevs..

a few times on the road, other drivers do stuff that really hacks me off.. Just want to share, and see what others think etc yadda yadda..
    what pushes your buttons..??

in no order (and from what I can think of at the mo)
    • can't stand people who can't get their windshield clean enuff and have their washer jets pointing over the roof of their cars

    • people who move onto the white line when you try to pass in traffic

    • following cattle trucks

    • drivers who forget about the dangly things on the side of their cars which we know as mirrors, and turn signals for that matter..

    • people who do 60-90kph in the middle and right lane and don't move over

I'm sure there's a few other, but just a couple to get started..

    People who can't spell "peeves".

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

People who don't signal. Oh and most people in their urban 4WDs.

There was a survey taken of this on MCN - some of them were pretty bad, like following muck-spreaders on country lanes (not such a problem here, although cattle trucks are).

One not mentioned yet is people flicking their cigarette butts out the window. Dangerous if you're wearing textile bike gear and one lands in your lap...

    My personal pettest peeves are:
    • Rubbish on the road, especially if it's camouflaged.
      F*&$kin softdrink can! Grrrrr!!!
    • Pedestrians leaping into your path, after you've already taken avoiding action to avoid running them over.
      F*&$kin mental pedestrians! Grrrrr!!!
    • People changing lane without any thought to who might be in the lane they're changing to.
      F*&$kin BMW driver! Grrrrr!!!
    • People U-turning without indicating, especially after they've pulled into the curb to fool you into thinking they're aware of you being behind them.
      F*&$kin Audi driver! Grrrrrr!!!
    • Crashing.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

People in peak traffic hours (but not nose to tail) who dont do the speed limit even though the road/traffic allow it. FUCKERS! GRRRR! Ie. this morning. great empty space in front of this car, they're doing 60! over the vic park overpass (80km/h limit), are they trying to fuck the traffic on purpose???

People who turn in front of you cause somehow despite the fact you are coming straight at them they. think cause you have a small outline it means you are going extremely slow.

Also multilane roundabouts, where there's two lanes coming off they shortcut the exit off the roundabout moving into your lane forcing you off the road.

Both of these instances have caused me to come off my bike once each, and have managed to avoid accidents other times when they have occurred. Both times the people involved didn't stop.

Thats another pet peeve of mine, people not stopping when they've forced you off your bike.

Caps, as worn by boi racers or retired bowling gents, most certainly. Maybe your "cap" is a different sort...

People who drive in the passing lane at 100 km/hr and there is a car in the non-passing lane driving at the same speed so you can't pass!

People who pull out of a side street in front of you and then travel at
    30 kms/hr up the street!

People who don't indicate! (sorry repetative)

    Irritants

I ride from Torbay to the Western Viaduct and back everyday and without a doubt for me the most irritating thing has to be these jealous yuppie fuckheads in their fancy-ass BMW's or Mercs purposefully blocking the lanes and not moving over while I'm filtering. Just because they are stuck in traffic.

And any other tosspot who thinks they can quickly nip in front of me causing me to slam the anchors and release a fury of handsignals!!!!!

People in cages need to give bikers more respect dammit!!!!!!
