I went for a spin last week, I havent seen to road in such good condition. Yes plenty of goats, just dont freek them and they will leave you alone. We had one jump out in front a few years ago when my mate on a TL with Twin-Bro cans blasted past.

    I agree

Yes one of the better twisty bits of tarmac in the North Island...right through to Gisborne....and beyond Gisborne is pretty darn good too around the East Cape...but the petrol stations get further apart!!!

Yeah, the road from Wairoa to Gisborne is great. You'll love it.
Thats why you were so slow, you stoped to feed the ducks
WISDOM IS KNOWING KARMA REALLY CAN'T GET YOU.

SPEED KILLS, BUT YOU GET THERE FASTER

    It's a great road.

The only real downside is that it takes you to Wairoa.
The greatest pleasure of my recent life has been speed on the road. . . . I lose detail at even moderate speed but gain comprehension. . . . I could write for hours on the lustfulness of moving swiftly.

Too true (although my mum makes a mean bacon and egg pie) and if you keep going it takes you to Gissy, almost as bad!

However there is a positive side to this: When you turn around, the same brilliant road takes you to Napier!!!

May the bridges I burn light the way.

True, or if you're in Gissy you've got the option of a good fun road through the gorge or a long interesting fun road round the coast (all roads in but especially out are good! )
